Can single people celebrate Valentine's Day too?

Most people think of Valentine's day as a couple or Love thing. Well a lot of us single men and women don't have a special someone in our lives, but that doesn't mean we can't get or do anything special. Any advice?

For instance I'm single, but I really like this guy, we're friends and all and he knows how much I like him. So the sweetest thing he could do is to ask me out on Valentine's Day. Take me out to eat or just come over and watch a movie. I don't think that's too much is it? But I'd be really shocked if something like that happened. Shoot I be happy if he just called to say happy Valentine's day.

What is the best Valentines day gift to get or do for a friend??

I think you should ask him out! Maybe he's interested but not forward enough to ask you out. Ask him over for dinner, make a nice semi-romantic dinner, nothing too over the top cuz you don't wanna scare him. If something happens, cool, and if not, you're in no worse place than you were before.

I think that the best Valentine's Day gift is to simply tell someone how much you care about them. Tell a friend how much their friendship means to you... send them a card or an e-card with your feeling. Everyone loves to be loved and appreciated.

There's absolutely no reason singles can't celebrate Valentine's Day. If you don't have a date, hook up with other single friends and have some fun. Or just treat yourself to your favorite meal, your favorite movie, buy yourself something you've wanted for a long time...

I hope everything works out for you!
Reply:OF COURSE!! You can celebrate even if your single(like me).

I think a good v-day gift is something that really came from you not some expensive thing.....Be creative!
Reply:I would if you dont have no one to spend the day with or a bor or girl driend
Reply:Of course "Singles" can celebrate Valentines day. It is just that our way of celebrating is a little different. A few friends of mine would go quackers over the spring solstice planning season, but i always enjoy mocking couples, and reading books on tragic deaths of couples with a few of my close friends over a fireplace with hot chocolate or tea (depends on the weather). Thus, after all that mirth, we huddle over a birthday cake, and drink to our heart's content. ^_^

Reply:I am always single on V day, and I always look cute for it. Dress in red/pink, and wear something you love. Then, you will feel great about yourself with or without someone else!

It kind of depends on the friend as to the gift - but creative ideas are things like donations in their name. Or, if there's a lonely older woman you know, send her roses anonymously. It will make you feel great knowing you brightened her day! Or decorate your desk with a few hearts - buy some Hershey's kisses and leave them in the staff lounge.

Instead of worrying (which everyone does) try doing some random acts of kindness to show your love this v-day!
Reply:yes.
Reply:OFCOURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!! You love your dog, Love your mom, Love your best friend right then why do we have to someone. we cant miss out on a fun night waiting like damsels in distress.
Reply:Of course. For the past 10 or more years I've given cards and chocolates to everyone near and dear to me ... my parents, kids, mate and siblings. I think it's the one day out of the whole year, where you can freely express your love and adoration. Spread some love 'round tc22 .. everyone needs some on Valentine's Day. :)

Then go and celebrate Valentine's Day for what it really was: martyrs who died for their beliefs.
