Hey single folk (who are still single or previously single folk), what's your take on this?

I've heard it said that the longer someone remains single (usually after being married/divorced) the slimer the chances of them getting remarried.....(or said another way..married again) Answer/opinions?

Hey single folk (who are still single or previously single folk), what's your take on this?
You can't put a time frame on finding the right person. Some people remain single by choice. Others fall for the first available person. Smart people, shop around, know what they want and don't fall for the first available person. Have faith in God that he will bring the right person to you.
Reply:Yep. It's true. And it seems that guys are opting out of the game of divorce that "you cannot win, and you cannot quit" altogether.

The truth is that more than 67% of marriages will end in divorce. 92% of the time it will be initiated by the woman for no other reason than she is “unfulfilled” – oh, and because she gets the kids, the house, at least ½ the assets and most of his future after tax income for the next 18 years. The man will get raked over in family court. He will lose the house. He will see his kids 2 out of 14 days (if the ex doesn't level unsubstantiated "abuse" claims.) He will be forced to hand over 40-50% of his take-home pay. If he loses his job due to illness or downsizing, the State will toss him in jail. While jailed the arrearage will grow and the state will charge interest. The State will revoke his driver's and professional licenses, make him virtually unemployable.

If you were to take up sky-diving, and the instructor informed you that 67% of the parachutes were defective, would you take the plunge?

The men’s Marriage Strike is alive and well, thank you.

Reply:i'm married, but my mom was single for 12+ years, and then she got married for a 3rd time. it just depends on the person.
Reply:right. well, i would NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER get married again. It wouldnt matter how nice, hot, rich, or whatever - NO WAY IN HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
Reply:Well I'm not single due to a divorce or anything. But I say that is true for some. I mean look at Halle Berry for quite some time she said she wasn't going to get remarried. And soon as she got a bit more involved with her current boyfriend, she has changed her view. Btw they says she is preggars from the guy now. But anyway, I think it really depends on how much the person has grown and healed themselves over the time they have been divorced. If someone is still holding a grudge about their ex they will naturally say they never wish to be married again. And in a way that is kind of understandable but eventually you have to get past it to make any progress in a new relationship, rather it ends in marriage or not.
