Single dad with a kid?

I am a single dad and most single women with no kids seem to back away and stop talking to me once I tell them that I have a kid. Is there another way to approach it or should I just look to date single moms who are in the same situation I am in because they understand?

you just have to date around and find that one woman who loves you for you and everything that comes along with you. and there will be that person you just have to keep trying.
Reply:I have raised my 2 sons for 8yrs on my own. I found a wondeful resource called Parents Without Partners in which I have made many friends male and female. We do many fun things together, sometimes as a family and sometimes just the adults. Other single parents can certainly understand your situation better, I have found. You may want to look into it in your area. It is not a dating service, but through the friendships, many are dating a few have gotten married. It sure helped get me through many tough times, I hope this helps you.
Reply:i'm sure it is something else. i wouldn't back away from someone jsut because they had a kid. don't give up! you can date different people if you want though. sticking to one sterotype means less chances in finding someone special
Reply:Do things in public with your kids where you know ther ar single ladys then you don't really have to tell them that you have a kid.
