Single girls, how can we tell if you're single or married if you wear a purity ring?

To clarify, I go to a college where alot of single girls wear purity rings to indicate that they are waiting until marriage before being sexually active. While I admire girls for this and applaud them very much, these rings make it very hard to know which girls are single and which girls actually have spouses and are married because the rings look like wedding bands in many cases.





As a result, it makes it very hard for us single guys to know from sight who is married and who is availabe, so my question is how can we tell who is married if you're wearing these purity rings.





Do single girls realize that they may be limiting the amount of guys who will approach you because it seems like you're married?

just start talking to them, you don't have to ask right off the bat but if you talk to them as a friend first i'm sure you'll find out. and if it turns out they are taken then at least you've made a new friend right, and they might know some available girl that you might like
Reply:Just ask us. I'm sure that if a girl is confident enough to wear the ring, she'll have no problem answering the question. She'll probablly respect you more if you ask than if you just assume it's a purity ring. Just bring up the subject of the ring and ask if she's married or what it symbolizes.

Well, I suppose that if one's married, on e will also be wearing one's weddong band. The wedding band is always worn on the inside with the engagement ring on the outside.





Then again, nowadays, they have this thing where the wedding band and engagement ring can interlock and be welded together into one ring so I suppose it can be hard to tell.





I suppose you should just talk to them... and if you like them


"Oh, that's a nice ring." (try to say it without sounding gay. Nothing wrong with gay guys, it's just that girls won't date you if they think you're gay. Well, duh...)


ANd she will most likely tell you in an indirect way if it's a purity ring or a wedding band or an engagement ring.
