Why single people must to pay more?????????

Why single women must to pay more money then anybody else? I am paying more taxes, when I am buying car insurance or medical insurance; I am paying more then others, just because I am a single. In my opinion, it is not right. A lot of people claiming they are not married, or claiming they are low income and getting a lot benefits for free, but in the same moment people like me working for their benefits, but they are really enjoying their life or working for cash.

We, single people not getting bigger salary because we are single. Do we have to pay more???? We not spending less then others, but my point is, if we got money, why we must to pay more, to be a single, that does no mean we getting money more easy.

Why single people must to pay more?????????
"Single women" or "single people"?

It's really difficult to understand what you are asking because you avoid punctuation and other attributes of sentence structure. Do you remember the question you asked in English class, "Why do I have to learn this? When am I ever going to use this"? Well, this question is an example of why you should have listened better.

If you're talking about single MEN, well, men have more to pay in necessities than women do. For example, we pay more in auto insurance because, to be fair, statistically men cost the insurance companies more money than women. However, we pay the same in health insurance costs than single women, despite that fact that women statistically cost the insurance companies FAR more money than men. The justification is that while it would be sexist to charge women more than men based on sex it is not sexist to charged men more than women based on sex.

If you're talking about single PEOPLE, well, single people do pay more for certain things. I think it's ridiculous that kids get in free or pay a reduced rate. Kids on airplanes take up a full seat but only have to pay 25% of the full fare. Why can't I sit in that seat? I'll pay 26% or 27%. To make up the money the airline has to get the money from everyone else on the plane.

As for health insurance, ignoring the sexism differneces, single people pay their full fare while those with a spouse and one child pay a reduced cost. They don't pay three times as much which is what three single individuals would pay.

Supposedly, having a child is an individual's choice but the rest of society has to pay for the choice of the individual if the individual cannot afford it. If I decide to do something stupid that I cannot afford should everyone else pay for it?

As bad as that is, now it's being viewed that public insurance should pay for people who are on Medicaid and welfare (translation: 'cannot pay for themselves') should be eligible for free in-vitro fertilization. So they can have kids that they cannot afford (New Jersey). I'm not necessarily against free public healthcare for the poor, in some ways it benefits everyone. And maybe there isn't much to be done about those people having children the old fashioned way because it's still their choice (and everyone else's responsibility). But to say that it's everyone else's responsibility to pay for people who cannot support themselves to have extremely expensive treatments to have children that they cannot support is asinine.

On the other hand, other economics teaches us that buying in bulk lowers the per-unit cost and that sharing something spreads the cost. A 500 square foot apartment costing $1000 has to be paid for by whoever lives in it. If you are married you split the cost in two. If you are single and living alone you have to foot the whole bill. You can get a roommate, remain single and split the cost. Utilities may cost $100 a month. Two people living in an apartment don't use twice as much in utilities.
Reply:I didn’t say you were a bad person but thought you need to organize better.

I have respect for people trying to learn English.

Some native speakers have WORSE grammar than you!

Your question was so good I thought you were a native speaker. It was just the organization that was confusing. Report It

Reply:Yeah, I know. I am single too. As far as insurance is concerned I think they have statistical evidence that single people are simply moe risky to insure. As far as the taxes that the government confiscates from you, it is just the Leviathan feeding itself. There is no good excuse for the government to take more from you than more from a married couple. It costs you and I just as much (or more) to live independant lives than it does married people. I only have to say: Screw the Government!
Reply:Single men actually pay more than female. And if you have children it only makes sense to get more money back because they are supporting other people. So they have less money for themselves
Reply:do you ever consider because you are single you also have less expences then those married with children to support?less folks to feed or get health care for ?Grow up and smell the coffee!I also am single but at least i understand how much harder those with families to provide for have it !
Reply:Because regardless of who it is stealing your money (usually the government) they know that single people have more to steal!
Reply:You have to pay more because you are only supporting yourself. If the single parents have to pay more then they might not have enough money to support their 5 year old kid at home. You wouldn't want their children to go hungry now do you?

Single people doesn't necessarily get bigger salaries. It depends on where you work, what type of job you have, AND your education level.
Reply:welcome to the american club.
Reply:I agree with your points. The only time that I can sometimes agree with people like me or you (single) having to pay more is when something is in a group rate. Such as car insurance, it should not be that we pay more, but that we pay more per person. If I was married I insured both me and my wife on a vehicle, then I would expect it to be less per person, but still a little more than what I would pay if I was single. I am not sure if this helps, but I tryed.
Reply:if your talking taxes your wrong...you pay more married...im single and don't pay near the taxes and enjoy life better than a married person
Reply:mabye you don't make as much money when you are single!?!

-Texas Chick
Reply:Are you REALLY paying more? Because when you're married and get car insurance, you usually insure 2 cars, which costs more than insuring one. Same with medical. Just because you get a discount, your overall costs are higher than for a single person due to needing multiples.
Reply:Well that because those people you talked to that are married are probably sharing their money with eachother.

II actually think singles (like myself) are better off. You might like to skim this article
